The best of 2021
First of all, I hope you’ve all had a great Christmas and New Year – and that you’ve hopefully managed to swerve the dreaded C!
My wife thinks I’m a little weird with this – but I actually enjoy getting back in the office in the new year. Taking a review of what’s in the diary for both 2022 and 2023, looking at where I am with my business goals and targets, getting a better idea of the things I need to prep in January so that I’m ready to go for the season ahead, and my favourite job of them all: looking back at my favourite pictures from the last year!
Looking through a year’s worth of work and then collating all of my favourite images really does give me the best feeling, that sense of achievement that you don’t have time to feel when I’m in the heat of a busy season.
And this year has been a bit of a crazy busy one, well… the last 7 months at least. It’s been my busiest year in terms of number of weddings photographed (53 to be precise, I’d normally limit myself to 45!), and when the first of these wasn’t until the middle of May, you get the idea that it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster second half of the year!
Last year this blog only took me 20 minutes to put together, but thankfully this year it’s been a rather more lengthy job – I’ve taken over 200,000 images, which means there were over 26,000 images delivered to couples to choose from. Narrowing it down to just 92 was pretty painful, but here they are, the absolute best pics from an amazing year!
2022 is looking just as crazy so I can’t wait to do it all again!
