So here we are again, with 2024 well under way, it’s that time of the year for one of my favourite jobs, sitting down in January and going through every single gallery to pick out my favourite photos from the last 12 months.
2023 was the year that the weather gods had their revenge. 2022 was epic, I hardly saw rain at a wedding all year, every wedding seemed to end with the perfect golden hour. This year decided to present it’s own challenges with bucket loads of rain, usually on days when I had tipi or marquee weddings or outdoor ceremonies planned. But hey, I’ve been doing this job long enough to know that a wedding is more about just the weather and having a few drinks in the sun – this last year has shown us that if you have a great group of people at the wedding who want to have the time of their lives, it will always be one to remember.
To my 51 couples, and all of the amazing suppliers and venues involved, you’ve all been amazing and I’ve had some great memories along the way. I’ve met loads of great people, worked alongside some serious industry talent and visited some gorgeous locations.
With 2024 shaping up to be another bumper year, I’m already itching to get going. But in the meantime, I’ll enjoy taking a short break and finishing all of the left over Christmas chocolate!
