This day was just wow from start to finish! Everything that could of gone well, went perfectly.
We started the day at Alarna’s parents house in Horsley nice and early where not only Alarna, her 8 bridesmaids and 3 flower girls were getting ready, but also her parents, grand parents and brothers. I love photographing bridal preparations when there’s so much going on like this. By the time I left 2 hours later I had already taken over 400 shots!
We then moved onto Breadsall church. For those lucky enough to get married here, it is one of the prettiest churches in Derbyshire. The lighting inside is perfect, and it was great to capture some lovely moments such as Richard fluffing his vows and the readings.
After the service we photographed a few family groups, followed by a blizzard of confetti and then headed off to the lovely Horsley Lodge.
Horsley has always been a great venue with plenty of photograph opportunities, and since the refurbishment of the inside, the venue is top notch. Add in some beautiful flowers and table decorations and the room looked stunning!
Towards the end of the day we were lucky enough to get my best wedding sunset shot of 2015, followed by a beautiful first dance and lively evening do.
Overall then, this had all the ingredients for a day to remember: Fantastic family & friends, a lovely couple, perfect venues, great weather and hilarious speeches.
To top it all, when I next saw Alarna & Richard a few weeks later after the honeymoon, Alarna was already pregnant! Congratulations to you both!
