Christy & Matt – Cavendish Hotel Wedding
Yet another amazing 2016 wedding! Christy & Matt are a great couple, and with both of them being outdoor adventurers, they wanted the great outdoors to feature in their photographs for the big day.
So to get the great outdoors into the photographs, we need a great setting – and that’s what we got! Dethick Church is right on the edge of the peak district just outside Matlock. Not only is it a beautiful church, but the view is amazing. This provided us with the perfect background for a few quick family groups after the ceremony, and some couple shot’s as well. And to make things even better, we then headed over to the Manor Farmhouse next to the church for tea and cake.
The plan was to head to Curbar Edge on our way to the Cavendish Hotel for some dramatic photos. We didn’t realise just how windy it would be – however, ever the explorers, Christy and Matt didn’t mind at all. This resulted in one of the best shots from 2016 with the wind blowing Christy’s dress right out behind her.
I never make a Bride and Groom do anything they don’t want to when it comes to photographs, however Christy and Matt were determined to get these memorable shots!
A trip down to the Cavendish Hotel for a much needed drink and warm up was followed by a few more family groups to end the day. I’ll not be forgetting this wedding for a long time!
