Kate & Nathan – Thoresby Hall Wedding

Kate & Nathan – Thoresby Hall Wedding

After photographing over 200 weddings, there aren’t too many venues that I’ve not been to yet. 2017 has been a great year for me to visit a few more of those venues that I’ve wanted to photograph at for ages. So when Kate & Nathan booked me for their big day at Thorseby Hall, I was definitely looking forward to it!

After a few quick shots of the guys and their last minute preparations, I headed up to see the girls. Kate had booked the biggest room in the hall for the bridal preparations, and with its beautiful bay windows, the light coming into the room was perfect for getting shots of hair, makeup and all of the little details.

Kate had also chosen a beautiful long veil which looked amazing as she came down the grand staircase on the way to the ceremony.

The ceremony was to take place in the riding stables just behind the hall – a stunning building with loads of character. I love it when a groom gets emotional as his wife to be walks down the aisle, and I was in the perfect position to catch a few of Nathan’s tears as Kate walked down the aisle.

The ceremony was at 3pm so we just had enough time to grab a few quick group shots before heading into the amazing gardens to catch the last of the daylight and were rewarded with a beautiful sunset.

A great first visit to Thoresby – I’m looking forward to being back here again in the future!
